Saving Strays: A Proud Cat Mom's Journey

Throughout my life cats have often wandered across my path, literally. I have rescued numerous strays, earning their trust over time and eventually bringing them inside and getting them the care they need while I work to find a home or foster home for them. I quickly fall in love with cats so it is hard to say goodbye to them, but it is also so rewarding knowing they are happy, safe and healthy and moving forward in their lives with a loving home and family.

I did have one ‘foster fail’ some years ago, my kitten Leia who I rescued in 2013. Well, she technically is a senior kitty now but still looks and acts like a kitten, so will always be a kitten in my eyes. She is extremely social and talkative with just a little side of sass. She loves to go to the park to sit in the grass and just enjoy the fresh air while watching people and animals pass by. She’s the type of cat that has turned people into cat lovers, and has inspired others to own their own cat. I’m an extremely proud cat mom!

Passionate About Cats & Women’s Health

I genuinely love cats and getting to know their special individual personality and quirks! I am a very empathetic and patient person and feel these attributes help me to naturally bond with animals. I think it’s important to take a calm approach when working with all animals, but with cats in particular. I enjoy doing everything I can to help them feel comfortable while in my care. I always respect their boundaries so they can warm up to me and interact in their own time when they’re ready. I feel that is the best way to earn trust with kitties.

I am currently back in school working towards my Master’s Degree in Bioengineering for Medical Devices. I have always enjoyed helping people but am especially excited to be in a field where I can make a significant difference in improving women’s health. With my school schedule, I have plenty of flexibility and am looking forward to being able to spend some of that time with your kitties. I can’t wait to meet you and the purrkids and learn all about their unique purrsonalities!
